The whole thing about being able to choose whether you use the straw or tilt it to chug is awesome and all, but mainly I was scouring the internet for a bottle that had some kind of straw mechanism that wasn't (1) on a spring-loaded flippy thing that would eventually wear out and stop working, (2) wasn't open to the air where it could collect other peoples' geeeeerms when I took it around everywhere with me, and (3) didn't have some kind of screw-top or other cap that I wouldn't be able to open one-handed. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD THAT IS TO FIND? I do. Literally, Owala was the only brand/bottle I found that checked all three of those boxes. THE ONLY ONE. So even though it was a little more than I would normally pay for a water bottle and I hated that I couldn't customize my colors, I decided to give it a try. And lo, I found the light and the heavens blessed me with a (near) perfect water bottle. I've used my bottle pretty much all day every day since purchasing it several months ago and it works as well now as it did when I first bought it. I do worry about the spring-loaded lid release eventually wearing out, but it hasn't yet with constant use (and more than occasional extra use for funsies). The only sign of wear over time is that there are a few small (aesthetic/surface) scratches on the outside from a couple times when I dropped my bottle on concrete and asphalt. I wish they weren't there but it doesn't affect anything except my delicate eyeballs. My only qualm with the bottle's near perfection, which seems entirely unavoidable from a design perspective, is that ice cubes inside of the bottle make a lot of noise when sloshing around and bumping up against the metal interior. When you work a job that sometimes requires near-complete silence, that noise can be an issue. For most, it probably wouldn't matter in the slightest (when I'm at home, I don't even think about it). I don't blame Owala for this. But if they solved it, then it would be the holy grail of sheer perfection designed to hold ambrosia for the gods. Until then, I feel honored to partake. The handle is convenient for carrying. The shape of the bottle (flat on the sides) is a clever touch that makes it easier to grip for twisting off the top and such. It fits in average cup holders. It's leakproof when the lid is secured well and the cap is clicked into place. The button to open the cap is strong (works well) and is easy to press. If the handle is down (it gently clicks into place if you fold it down), it covers the button and prevents any accidental presses. That said, while it could theoretically be pressed accidentally if you leave the handle up/open all the time (like I do), it has never happened to me. The inside is metal, which keeps the insides cold for ages (with ice). The straw is plastic, which stops the water from tasting like gross metal water bottle. The outside is... not-metal, which means the sun can be directly on the bottle and warm the outside while the inside is still ice cold and, more importantly, that there's no condensation on the outside getting everything around it wet (bane of my college existence :| ). Vinyl stickers adhere well to whatever the outside material is. It disassembles into straw, lid, and bottle for cleaning, and the the shape of the lid makes it a lot easier (and way more sanitary) to clean than any other straw-based bottle I've had/used. I run the lid and straw through the dishwasher occasionally. I think the bottle recommends hand washing but I forget; in addition to hand washing, I occasionally do a polydent cleaning to eliminate any odors and ensure all bacteria are dead af. It works like a charm. This is a 100% honest review and I generally try not to fangirl or gush excessively: this bottle is /that/ good. I legit recommend it for anyone looking for a water bottle (unless they prefer the big mouth/screw-top kind) and am very seriously considering buying one for everyone in my family.

Love this way more than I thought

Love this water bottle! I didn't think I would use it as much as I actually do, but it's the only water bottle I reach for now. Doesn't leak! You can sip from its "straw" part which is great for drinking in the car so you don't take your eyes off the road. You can also tip it back and drink from it that way if you prefer. Keeps water cold long enough. I replaced the plastic straw on the inside with a glass straw (look for 8.5" long x 10MM). Finally, I'm personally not a very multi-color type of person, so VERY HAPPY that a plain black color is available! I originally bought both the 32oz and the 24oz. I actually wanted to keep the 32oz because I drink a ton of water a day (hydrohomie4life) but ultimately returned it because it wouldn't fit in my car cupholder.

Keeps water ice cold for hours!

This water bottle absolutely exceeded my expectations. I like to do a lot of research on finding a good water bottle because their so expensive, and this one was worth it. I put 9 cubes of ice in it and tested it out, let it sit. 24.5 hours later and the ice was still in the bottle! Cold as ever. Only downside, and its not really a downside, if your a ice cube girl like me, the straw gets in the way when you fill it with ice. So it takes a little maneuvering to fit the lid on but i was able to do it after moving the ice around. Worth every penny because it does what it says its supposed to do. Handle also comes down over push button so it will not spill. It has two ways to drink, sip or chug. Got a 32 oz and was perfect size for me, i drink alot of water in a day. 40 oz would be too big to carry around. Definitely a good purchase, going to buy one for my mom as well.

Love my Owala

I absolutely love my Owala! I got the “Shy Marshmallow” color and while it looks light gray in the product photos, it’s actually a clean white with a soft gray lid — which I actually prefer, but just a heads-up if you’re only judging by the pictures. The teal straw inside is such a fun surprise and a nice pop of color against the white exterior. It keeps drinks cold for hours, the FreeSip spout is super convenient, and the design is sleek and easy to carry. Just be sure to read the color name when ordering (“Marshmallow” really does mean white, not gray!) Side note: the 32 oz just BARELY fits in my 2021 Tahoe cup holder

Perfect bottle for sippers and chuggers

The search for the perfect water bottle is over! I wasted so much money for the ideal water bottle (at least ideal for me) and somehow always fell short. I tend to drink more water sipping through a straw. This Owala bottle does the trick. The straw is hidden AND you have the option to either sip through a straw or chug. Water is kept nice and cold - longer than my Yeti. The one thing I will say that was a little bit of a let down is that it comes with a plastic straw. It’s not that big of a deal because I bought metal straws specifically for this bottle. Overall I have been pretty happy with this purchase.

Tip it back, or sip from the spout, replaceable seals and lids and easy to clean. My favorite now.

Easy to clean with replacable seals, as well as lids. I love that the lid has the lock that doubles as a handle. The loop is a bit too small, but still works. My only issue is the bottle is wide and does not fit in my cup holder on my tiny car, and is difficult to grip while power walking or running. Those are so minor compared to how much I like this bottle. The seals are silicone and the inside is metal. It feels built to last. Is has not leaked, and I have purchased the smaller one for my spouse. I now have two for myself. I drink obnoxious amounts of water daily, and this is easy to refill. I can also drink it while driving without tipping it back, which is very handy. My favorite bottle now.

Produto perfeito, mas a entrega deixa muito a desejar.

Vamos lá, primeiramente que eu AMEI a garrafa, estava super ansiosa pela chegada dela e não me arrependo em absolutamente NADA de ter comprado. Ela mantém a água gelada por MUITO tempo(se você for como eu q é curioso em saber quando tempo exatamente, um ótimo exemplo foi que eu coloquei água nela SEM GELO ás 16 da tarde e no dia seguinte ás 8 horas quando acordei ainda estava gelada como se tivesse acabado de sair do filtro d'água, lembrando que meu filtro tem agua gelada). O canudo dela é sensacional e super prático, mas também recomendo comprar uma daquelas escovinhas pra limpar. Além disso, ela é muito linda e grande. Eu comprei a de 945ml e tá perfeita pra mim, já que tem uma alça e o material externo da garrafa não é escorregadio ao toque. Agora falando dos pontos negativos, o único ponto negativo que eu tenho a mencionar aqui sobre essa garrafa é a entrega. Vi muitas pessoas reclamando sobre a demora da entrega e realmente aconteceu comigo também, o prazo pra envio é ENORME, acredito que seja por causa da quantidade de pessoas que compram essa garrafa, então demorou MUITO pra enviarem, aprox um mês. A entrega em si depois do envio foi de uma semana +/-, então acredito que seja mesmo uma coisa de estoque. O problema é que a garrafa deveria vir numa caixa de papelão, forrada por dentro e tudo mais. Mas na verdade ela veio dentro de um saquinho sem nada, só a garrafa, envelopado por um pacotinho com uma camada DUVIDOSA de papel bolha. Acredito inclusive que esse tenha sido o motivo do arranhão da foto(é pequeno, bem pequeno, e fica na parte de baixo, praticamente nem dá pra notar, principalmente depois que eu comprar aquele molde de silicone pra botar na garrafa). Enfim, o produto é perfeito, mas pecam bastante na forma como enviaram, e nem é pela demora, mas sim pelos danos causados aos produtos, visto que mais gente aqui teve o mesmo problema.

Produto perfeito, entrega poderia ser melhor

The media could not be loaded. Realmente o produto vem num saquinho da Amazon com uma camada mequetrefe de plástico bolha. Eu dei sorte e o único dano que veio na minha garrafa foi esse micro amassadinho na base dela. Demorou quase 3 semanas pra ser enviada, que era o prazo indicado no momento da compra. Depois que foi enviada chegou em uns 3 dias. Não sei pq isso mas ok kkkkkk A garrafa em si é PERFEITA. Achei um pouquinho pesada só. A água fica bem gelada mesmo, a garrafa não sua, da pra carregar tranquilamente pela alça/trava e o bico/canudo dela é extremamente confortável de beber. O gelo da foto passou 24 horas na minha garrafa com água e não tinha derretido ainda. Vale muito a pena o investimento.

Está muy práctico, se embona bien en el visor pero en el snorkel no, hay que tener cuidado cuando se lleve sin bolsa porque se puede caer. Me gusta que es de clip, facilita el poner y quitar

Great water bottle

Still my daily water bottle, working from home. Size is perfect, ensuring a good amount of water is available as I get through the day. Price is very reasonable, especially on sale. I love the straw design as it protects the spout from bacteria. Also ensures that your water stays cold the entire day.
