Nespresso the “Best” espresso/coffee maker I have owned.

I have enjoyed the Nespresso for a few weeks. For its manufacture quality, the superb coffee drinks it produces and ease in using, it is arguably the “best” I have owned. I also have a Keurig that doesn’t get much use, and a Professional La Pavoni that is performance art while using, but not easy. (Also: The Nespresso milk foamer works amazing! Makes thick, creamy and hot milk for cappuccinos.) Quiet operation! Modern design. Awesome product!

Best Coffee Maker for the Home

The media could not be loaded. I needed a coffee maker for my home. I used to get my daily coffee fix at my office. However, I have been working from home since the onset of COVID. What I wanted was a easy and fast cup of coffee. I also wanted a coffee maker that offered plenty of variety. Also, it had to be dependable ... I did not want to be investing in a new coffee maker every six months. After a few days of research I decided to buy the Nespresso Vertuo Coffee and Espresso Machine by Breville with Aeroccino. I am so glad I did ... it has been exactly what I wanted ... and more! My research suggested that if I wanted an easy and fast cup of coffee with plenty of variety I needed to buy a pod style coffee maker. Pods allow you to change up flavors and types at your whim without any concern that the coffee will lose its fresh taste. Also, pods are easy and fast ... put the pod in the machine ... press a button ... and in a minute you have a hot cup of coffee. I looked at both Keurig and Nespresso and decided Nespresso was for me. Reviews and comments from friends and family suggested that Keurig coffee tends to taste watered down while comments on Nespresso said that the coffee had a rich, bold taste. I was sold on Nespresso, but now which machine to buy? There is the Nespresso Original and the Nespresso Vertuo. Both make great coffee ... but the Original is focused more on European style espresso while the Vertuo makes espresso as well as full sized cups of coffee. Vertuo seemed like it offered more options, so that is what I chose. Next, I had to decide on the type of Nespresso Vertuo machine I would buy. I have a strong preference for Breville appliances. Breville products are well built, durable and look nice. When I found that Breville makes a Nespresso Vertuo machine I was sold ... that was the one for me. I placed my order with Amazon and a few days later I was brewing coffee at home one cup at a time. I have been using this machine for several months now and have no complaints. It is everything I had hoped for ... and more. The machine is relatively quiet when brewing. I attached a video with sound so you can hear the machine do its thing. It takes about a minute to brew a full cup of coffee. My machine came with a milk frother quickly produces a warm frothy milk. There are many pod options available for this machine. There are espresso pods which make a 2oz to 3oz shot of espresso. There are 5oz to 7oz pods ... up to XL pods that produce a 14oz cup. Nespresso uses a 1 to 10 scale to define the strength of the coffee, with 1 being mild and 10 being extra bold. I have found my sweet spot is in the 4 to 6 range. I mentioned the machine is everything I wanted ... and more. The "more" part can be seen in the video. This machine produces a nice full bodied crema. The machine reads a bar code on the underside of the pod. The barcode tells the machine the type of coffee being brewed and how quickly to "spin" the pod to produce a perfect crema. I attached a picture of a pod so you can see the barcode. This is much more than I expected ... and makes for an enjoyable cup of coffee every time. I have no complaints about this machine. It is easy to clean and simple to use. I highly recommend it. Five stars.

Best life choice I’ve made in awhile

The media could not be loaded. I cannot say enough about this machine. I was addicted to a coffee chain and spending way too much money. My New Year’s resolution was to find a way to make coffee at home. I had tried other coffee makers and nothing tasted good until I tried this Nespresso. it is so easy to use. Super quick to use in the morning hold enough water for several days yet easy to refill. I’ve had no issues working the machine and it makes excellent coffee. I’m saving so much money.

Smooth, great tasting coffee

The coffee quality is very good. I dont buy coffee from cafe anymore :) There are so many flavours which allows you to make various tasting options. Will recommend :) The machine can be operated by anyone, great coffee at the button press away. The frother makes the whole experience in an another level , leaving behind a smooth, tasty great coffee. Downside : had an issue with online order , the people sitting at customer care aren't always friendly. Luckily at the end a sweet girl responded and things went pretty smooth after.

Easy to use, easy to clean and makes good coffee. Not a coffee aficionado or anything, just an everyday dude that enjoys his morning coffee. Was over at a buddies house, he made me a coffe using his nespresso machine. I fell in love. Waited a while for it to go on sale, and now every once in a while i treat myself. If you like Starbucks and blowing $5 or more for a cup of coffee, fill your boots. This is equally as good and pods cost around $1. Do the math.

Amazing taste in black coffee

Use it every morning to get the morning poops going 😂, it’s extremely good coffee and if you like froth on top it’s amazing for that purpose. Keeps it at a drinkable temperature immediately and I’ve seen that people don’t enjoy that but if you put it in a thermos immediately, it will keep the heat for much much longer. Pods are costly so check that out prior. If you’re trying to get into drink coffee black, I highly recommend this

I’m happy with the unit, it does make great coffee, but the cost of the pods is astronomical. Also, in my region very hard to find. It is very specific on which pods it will take. They have reusable pods online if you’re into keeping it cheap.

Aeroccino frother fails within 3 weeks

Bought this bundle on Jan 30th, 2024. Received it the next day. The coffee machine itself seemed pretty good. Coffee looks and tastes good if you like strong coffee. The Nespresso pods are expensive at $1.30 - $1.60 per cup. Consider buying the 200 pack of foils to refill your pods with your favourite coffee. The silicon tops don't work great in my experience. We used the machine and frother every day, maybe 10-15 times per day for our family of coffee drinkers. The frother worked great for a couple of weeks. It had no trouble frothing and heating 2% milk and 10% cream into a beautiful foam. We clean the inside of the Aeroccino frother and rinse the whisk after every use. By Feb 19th the frother stopped frothing milk. The whisk still spins and looks normal but it no longer makes the great foam we came to expect, regardless of the type of milk we use. Getting support is difficult. They require that you register the coffee maker with their site before they can troubleshoot the frother. Once you register the machine with the serial number, it does not save in your account. You have to constantly keep re-adding your machine. Support keeps asking for the membership number and phone number "to call back in case the call drops" . However, when the first call was disconnected I did not get a call back and no notes were put on my file so I had to start all over. What is the point of providing all this info? When I called back I spoke to Hassna who transferred me to Chaymae. She sent me a link by text to get a video chat going so she could see the device in action for troubleshooting. The video app is unstable and poor quality. I could see the video on my phone, but she could not see my video on her end. We continued using audio only. I needed to waste a few servings of milk to perform the troubleshooting. She did credit my account $10 for the wasted milk which was nice of her. She sent me a replacement whisk and assured me that this would fix it since the machine itself was working (spinning the whisk and heating the milk). A few days later I got the replacement whisk which had a slightly different design but was the same size a similar shape. The new whisk did not work either so I had to call back a 3rd time. Finally they sent me a Canada Post label and asked me to ship it back to them, so I did. Now I don't have a frother and am waiting for a replacement device. I just wanted to return the whole thing at this point. The quality of the product and support does not seem to be worth the high cost of the machine and pods for the novelty of foamy coffee. All around a waste of time and money. - product is not built to last - website does not work well - support staff don't call you back even if they say they will - support applications don't work I will update this once the issue is resolved either as working, or I return the item. 2024-02-22: Sent the frother to Nespresso for repair / replacement via Canada Post. 2024-02-23: Nespresso received the unit in Brockville, Ontario. 2024-03-07: I have not heard anything back after 2 weeks so I called them and spoke with Chaymae again. She confirmed my telephone number and told me she would check on it and call me back with an update. She never called me back. Removing a star. 2024-03-20: Still no call back from Chaymae. It's now too late to return the purchase. Removing another star. I called again to try and get an update on the frother.
