FINALLY FOUND THE PERFECT FIT 4 ME!!
It has multiple seals are redundant enough that it does not leak anywhere at all. There is a great seal for both the lid and the cap!! The hardest part for me was finding one that not only was leak proof and held temperature. But that also had a large enough durable handle but the biggest thing I was struggling to find was one that when you take the top off that it's big enough to put the tea bags and ice cubes in that I use with ease!! I've been searching for months and finally found one!! The fact that the opening for the lid isn't so narrow and it doesn't have a straw spout makes it so much more easy to clean.
Great bottle - just be mindful of black!
I ordered two bottles for my husband and myself. I got the turquoise color for me and black for my husband. I know black holds heat, but couldn't believe the difference in external temperature between the turquoise and black. Within 10-15 minutes of exercising outdoors, the black bottle was very hot to the touch and the turquoise was still cool. The water inside stayed cool though, so at least the hot exterior did not affect the water inside too much. I ended up ordering a granite color for my husband and it is perfect. We will just use the black bottle for winter months! These are great bottles - water stays cold for hours, top wide enough for ice, easy to clean and bottles do not leak.
Great so far and it can go in the dishwasher
On the bottle itself it says to hand wash, but the literature that comes with it says it can go in the dishwasher. So far, I have put it in the dishwasher almost every day for a couple of months and it still looks like new and it remains leakproof. This was much better than another (Japanese brand name) bottle that started peeling with one time in the dishwasher. The closure mechanism on this bottle is well thought out to be effective yet simple.
Great design and construction!
I love these bottles. Great construction and great design! The body is dual walled keeping the contents either hot or cold for long periods of time. I routinely fill with half ice and end up with some left over at the end of the day. The real beauty is in the cap design. The lid comes off to expose a large mouth making it easy to put ice in unlike other popular brands with narrow mouths. There is also a narrow mouth enabling spill free drinking. Both are gasketed and will not spill when tightened securely. Even the handle is well designed - wide enough to hold with two fingers. The handle is angled enabling it to hang straight down without causing additional strain on your fingers and it has rounded edges so that it does not bite into your fingers over long periods of time.

Very well made and excellent quality. What you see is what you get and this keeps drinks cold for hours and hours. Does not leak one bit. The silicone gaskets have stayed in place perfectly, as they are deeply seated in the lid and drinking spout lid, which both screw on. I gave it 4 stars because: 1) I hate unscrewing the mouth piece to drink. I much prefer a one handed flip top, but I knew that when I bought it. 2) The drinking spout is straight and not shaped as nicely as my Embrava (that I love/and am frustrated with and purchased this Takeya looking for an alternative) so it's easier to spill, although it's not too large. 3) It does not have a tiny air inlet hole so it 'glugs' when you drink, causing spillage unless you are really careful. Frankly, I am a little spoiled and still have not found the best of both worlds I am comparing it to my Embrava that I think is absolutely perfect as far as the drinking spout shape, one handed flip cap, air inlet and overall shape of the design. If Embrava could marry Takeya, we may have the perfect Water Bottle child.
The perfect water/coffee bottle
I LOVE this thing. It hits that sweet spot where it's equally perfect for cold and hot drinks. I use it for coffee in the AM and water in the PM. The other day I put cold water in it, left it in the car in full sun on a 94 degree day (so you know the inside of my car was way hotter than that). 2.5 hours later, I came back and my water was still nice and cool. It has a nice big handle that I can carry it around with. It's leakproof - I regularly just chuck it in my purse and don't worry too much about it. I have the 18 oz and it fits in my car cupholders. Couldn't ask for anything else.
Just as good as Hydroflask, with a better lid
I used an 18oz Hydroflask for about a year. I loved it, but the Takeya cap is exactly what I've always wanted on my water bottle. I've been using my Takeya for about two months and I absolutely love it. Good handle for carrying with one or two fingers, big mouth for filling, and a second tiny mouth for drinking. It works perfectly, with no leaks (I've had trouble with Contigo leaks in the past). It keeps my water cold all day. Side note--you can make the Takeya cap work on Hydroflask. It's not a perfect aesthetic fit, because there's a very thin visible gap, but it creates a seal.
Awesome water bottle
Seals great. Insulates great and keeps water cold for a long time. Very high quality manufactured product. I have much higher priced Yeti products that are no better than this Takeyama bottle. I've bought two of these...one after I lost the first one.
Good bottle, unique, rigid construction
I've had it for a couple weeks or so, I think it's great. My old plastic bottle has been letting off some strange volatile fumes polluting the water, so I wanted a metal bottle this time but with a spout lid to make it easy to drink from when running on a treadmill, this bottle basically fits the bill. The construction is pretty solid, the insulating function is just a bonus for me, I haven't measured whether the cooling duration is accurate.
I love it
I use it for my smoothies and it keeps them cold for a lot of hours, quite happy with it.
