- Review: "Killing Kennedy is quite interesting. New faces. New ideas in the mix. It reenergizes the narrative. Jack Roth should be proud.Oliver Stone, American film director, producer, screenwriter A stunning fresh perspective!Dick Russell, author ofThe Man Who Knew Too Much "This book is a significant contribution to our understanding of the coup that took place in Dallas in 1963.Roths focus on the personal journeys of unsung patriots clarifies our quest for democracy." Mal Hyman, author, Burying the Lead: The Media and the JFK Assassination, associate professor of sociology, Coker University Author, Jack Roth, has collectively pieced together an outstanding and significant manuscript on the study and research of individuals regarding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, on November 22, 1963. With a handful of exclusively selected and constructed questions, he has captured the hearts and minds of over twenty top researchers, writers, teachers, doctors, lawyers, journalists and film makers who have dedicated their lives in order to keep JFKs story alive. He has upgraded their continued research and brought most of it from the twentiethcentury into the twenty-firstcentury. These individuals have continued to pursue a profound sense of truth and justice in American history.Justice cannot be served until we establish the truth behind John Kennedy's murder.Americas heart is in the coffin of President Kennedy!Casey J. Quinlan, American history teacher; author,Beyond the Fence Line, president, Project JFK/CSI Dallas After all these years, the official lies about the JFK assassination continue to matter. Jack Roth takes an innovative approach by interviewing a compelling mix of researchers, scholars and witnesses who almost all conclude that not only was President Kennedy murdered in a domestic conspiracy, but that Lee Harvey Oswald was indeed a patsy, just as he said he was. After reading Roths book, it becomes clear thatthe JFK assassination ranks with other historical events that served as major turning points for nations and societies, including the assassination of Julius Caesar, the Battle of Gettysburg and others. The dark forces behind the killing of John Fitzgerald Kennedy similarly brought about a fundamental transformation of American society, and by extension the rest of the world. And this was definitely not for the better.Richard Dolan, author,UFOs and the National Security State Killing Kennedy is a well-researched, well-written, and thought-provoking expose about historys darkest day. Jack Roths in-depth examination sets the record straight and raises new questions about Presidents Kennedys murder. The author has uncovered new factoids and laid the foundation for those who continue to seek the truth, offering new directions for future researchers. Roth has demonstrated there is still important work to be done in this complex case. I highly recommend this book.Brian Edwards, MS, criminal justice; JFK assassination researcher and lecturer; author, Beyond the Fence Line; codirector; Project JFK/CSI Dallas I was only six weeks old when JFK was assassinated in 1963. The event has been with me my entire life. Today, I continue to dive into anything I can to further my understanding of the events surrounding the presidents murder. Whether its Oliver Stone, Jack Roth, or any other researcher bringing fresh information out in the open, we need to do everything we can to reveal the truth about the death of President Kennedy, and this book is a must read in that regard.Jimmy Church, host, FADE to BLACK Game Changer Network; host, The History Channel/A&E Networks I found Jack Roths new bookKilling Kennedyfascinating. In large part it was due to his crisp editing skills, which made the narrative flow easily and very coherently. But, as importantly, because of its rather unique approach and design: He focused on the collective works or experiences of twenty-four people, in as many chapters, divided into seven groups: 1) Five researcher-authors; 2) Three people who were residents of New Orleans in the summer of 1963; 3) Four people whose fathers were in the CIA; 4) Two little girls, now grown up with significant personal stories; 5) Three authors specializing in the Deep State and/or the Fourth Estate; 6) Four authors specializing in Psychological, Philosophical and Social Perspectives; 7) Three people who specialize in keeping the story alive. Combining them into a book that brings the disparate experiences together is an interesting story-telling device.Phil Nelson, author ofLBJ: The Mastermind of the JFK Assassination

Another Good Read
Excellent reading
Couldn't put this book down!
I pre-ordered this book a few months ago, and was happy to get a notification when the Kindle version was available. Clicked on the link to read the forward and intro, and a few hours later, I had read 200 pages. Killing Kennedy reads like a primer for anyone who is interested in learning more about the humanistic impact from people who lived it, whether it be investigative research, impact based on family CIA secrets or personal insider accounts relating to direct and fringe connections to that fateful day. A must-read for anyone who wants to learn more -- much more -- about JFK, the conspiracy players, and most of all, Oswald. This is one of the first accounts I have read or seen that takes a deep dive on Oswald and the person he was vs. who was portrayed to be by the government and media. The first section of the book dives right in and hooks you right away, building from research-based insights to insider information to the human experience of all who were interviewed. And the author does a great job of staying out of the way and letting the interviewees tell their stories -- stories I had never heard before that opened my eyes and mind even further. Highly recommend to anyone who is interested in JFK, the culture of the 60s, American history or unsolved murders. Easy read that keeps you engaged in the personal stories presented.
An enlightening work of old school journalism
Roth’s approach was fresh, well researched and appreciated. The interview format reminded me of what journalism is supposed to be- and what is mostly lacking in today’s “news” reporting. Roth selected an interesting cadre of people with varying and often impressive backgrounds. All have some nexus to the Kennedy assassination. It was up to me as the reader to determine who I found credible, what I found credible (the numerous footnotes/sources helped immensely) and to reach my own conclusions. If you are looking for a definitive answer as to who killed President Kennedy, you will be disappointed. The author identifies the right people of whom he asks the right questions. While he gives a few pages of opinion at the book’s conclusion, he leaves firm conclusions in the hands and minds of the reader. I closed the book with a list of other books to read and rewatched Oliver Stone’s film JFK with renewed interest and a more open mind. In today’s frighteningly divisive political climate, the book was a stark reminder of what can happen when our governmental system of checks and balances fails. Even more alarming was the realization of the devastation that results when the 4th estate of the media abandons its responsibility to act as an unbiased, apolitical watchdog. Highly recommend.
JFK Assassination
More a collection of recollections from 22 November, 1963.
If I Could Give Six Stars I would!!!
I too had a similar experience to the author, as he recalls in the introduction of this book – I remember watching Oliver Stone’s JFK film in high school and being deeply affected. Almost personally offended by the Warren commission report and the Oswald explanation. For me the assassination is personal – it represents something a profound loss of ideas for the country. You can tell that for Roth this work is personal as well. His personal story does not mince word and in turn, represents how a lot of us feel about the events and its cover up. For those who have read a lot of Kennedy books, what makes this one compelling is the 360-interview format. The interviewees are witnesses, multi-disciplinary PhD researchers, and others who help weave together a compelling portrait of the Kennedy assassination. They each have a unique story to tell. Roth seems to put them at ease and teases out vivid details from their stories to paint a compelling picture. Whether you’ve never read a book about the Kennedy assassination or have read them all, this one certainly will entertain and inform. A must read!
A conspiracy, a cover up, and a crime against democracy- eyes open and a heart on fire
The unsolved murder of the 35th President of the United States is not and should not be a quiet footnote in our history. It is as relevant today as the day a select group of individuals initiated a plot to thwart our democratic processes and end a man’s life. In the last 59 years, the effects of this crime have shaped our nation and the world, damaged countless individuals and families, and challenged our national ideals and collective psyche. This diligently reported collection of compelling accounts - inextricably connected and intertwined - may corroborate something you’ve heard, while some of the narratives will provide new insights and information. Each unsettling detail will challenge what you believe to be right and just behavior from a democratic government. For me, this book stands as a tribute to the dedicated citizens who continue to navigate the facts related to the assassination - actual and distorted - and the complex emotions the injustice invokes. It is for the many who have endeavored to discover the truth for us all. This book is an important and interesting read.
24 chapters--He said--She said-- review of other books published all Socialistic views
I had to highlight page by page with post note strips to follow all references to each authors biography backgrounds at beginning of each chapter. One author was quite clear about being a troubled psychologist, requiring therapy 3 times a week. One also admits he believed in use of psychedelics in therapy. I admired his research, well done as a publisher. This book is a compilation of over many books written with out any first hand knowledge. If one is looking for first time familiarization of JFK's assassination', it offers great leads. I recommend reading his notes first, pp 366-383 This book fails to compare claims of what the writers repeated many years later, as reported with statements actually made to the FBI in document releases. Primary omissions are Robert Maheu, FBI-CIA organizer of plot to kill Castro. If you are looking for truth rather than speculation, I would recommend Robert Blakey's book published in the 1980 period.
Good.
A few more details about the JFK murder and the culprits who got away with it.
An Important New Look at the Kennedy Assassination
Killing Kennedy by Jack Roth offers a refreshing take on the JFK assassination. In it, Roth departs from the realm of conspiracy theories to provide readers with an informative exploration of the assassination and its aftermath. What sets Roth's work apart is his approach of obtaining firsthand accounts through interviews with top researchers, security personnel, doctors, eye witnesses, writers and journalists who collectively bring fresh perspectives to America’s greatest murder mystery. Significantly, Roth delves into the world of Secret Service agents who were tasked with protecting President Kennedy on that fateful day in Dallas. Through interviews with these agents, readers gain insight into incredible lapses in security protocols that created vulnerabilities facilitating the assassination. In addition to these key voices, Roth also turns to eyewitnesses who were present at the scene of the shooting. Their recollections offer poignant and vivid accounts of the chaos and confusion that ensued in the aftermath of the assassination, painting a visceral picture of the tragedy as it unfolded. Roth's inclusion of interviews with journalists who covered the event adds another layer of depth to his narrative, providing a glimpse into the challenges faced by reporters in accurately conveying the unfolding events to the public in real time.. The book also includes interviews with individuals who were close to accused assassin Lee Harvey Oswald. By exploring Oswald's personal connections and motivations through the eyes of those who knew him best, Roth provides readers with a nuanced understanding of the individual at the center of one of the most infamous crimes in American history. By weaving together these diverse perspectives, Roth offers a multifaceted examination of the assassination that complements the myriad of other important books on a pivotal moment in American history. Great for fans of the subject.
Bought this for my husband who has absolutely loved this book. He already knew a fair amount about the subject but still found lots of value in this, especially in some of the insightful interviews.
Excellently researched
Hope the whole truth comes out in my time
